Your adventure starts with a visit to Badiauri Village, a place famous for its traditional Georgian bread.
Here, you’ll watch local bakers make shotis puri, a crispy, boat-shaped bread baked in a tone (clay oven).

Bodbe Monastery
Next, you’ll visit the Bodbe Monastery of St. Nino, a sacred place for Georgians.
Saint Nino, the woman who introduced Christianity to Georgia in the 4th century, lies buried here.
Saint Nino’s influence transformed Georgia spiritually, marking the country’s rebirth as a Christian nation. Many locals call Bodbe the “heart of Christianity” in Georgia.
The monastery itself is a peaceful retreat, surrounded by greenery, and offers one of the best panoramic views of the Alazani Valley.
Legend has it that the holy spring of St. Nino, located near the monastery, has healing properties – Visitors often dip their hands or even take a drink from it, hoping for blessings or cures! ✨
Sighnaghi
Ah, Sighnaghi – a town straight out of a fairy tale!
Cobbled streets, colorful wooden balconies, and panoramic views of the Alazani Valley make this one of Georgia’s most picturesque spots.
Often called the “City of Love,” Sighnaghi is known for its wedding chapel that operates 24/7 – meaning couples can spontaneously tie the knot at any hour! 💍
One of its highlights is “The Great Wall of Georgia,” an ancient fortress that stretches across the hills, offering breathtaking views.
You’ll have plenty of time to stroll through local craft shops, sip on a glass of wine at a cozy café, and enjoy the romantic charm of this historic town.

Kindzmarauli Winery
Wine lovers, this is where the magic happens!
Kindzmarauli Winery has been making wine since 1533 and was once the exclusive supplier to Georgian royalty.
What makes it special? The renowned Kindzmarauli wine a semi-sweet red made from Saperavi grapes that thrive in Kakheti’s fertile soil. What sets this wine apart is its unique fermentation process, which naturally halts, preserving the grapes’ natural sweetness.
At Kindzmarauli, you’ll get to taste four different wines, tour the winery, and dive into the fascinating traditional Georgian Qvevri winemaking method, recognized by UNESCO as a cultural heritage treasure.
The Art of Qvevri Wine
Georgia is home to the world’s oldest winemaking tradition, dating back over 8,000 years, and the secret lies in Qvevri.
But why is it called Qvevri wine?
A Qvevri is a giant clay vessel buried underground, where grapes ferment naturally without additives.
The name comes from the Georgian word “kvevri” (ქვევრი), which means “that which is buried.” The clay allows for natural temperature control, giving the wine a distinct earthy flavor and deep character.
During this tour, you’ll visit a local family winery where you’ll see how Qvevri wine is made.
You’ll taste two different Qvevri wines, Rkatsiteli (a dry white) and Saperavi (a bold red), and even try Chacha – Georgia’s fiery grape brandy.

- Lunch: at a local restaurant isn’t included either, but for just 45 GEL (around 15 USD) per person, you’ll enjoy a hearty, traditional Georgian meal. Trust me, it’s a fantastic deal for such delicious food!
